    In this module, you will learn more about generative AI systems.

    In the last module, you learned what lies behind AI systems such as ChatGPT, LLama, and Gemini: Large Language Models (LLMs). ChatGPT, LLama, and Gemini are specific types of AI systems known as “generative AI systems.” These systems are referred to as generative AI systems because they are capable of producing seemingly new, meaningful content such as text, images, or audio. In this chapter, we focus on other types of generative AI systems, the ones that are able to generate images or audio. More specifically, we focus on how they work, how we can use them, what potential ethical concerns exist around these systems, and how we can mitigate them.
