Establishing the connection

In Module 03, you learned that AI systems can be developed in two ways: through machine learning and/or knowledge-based AI.

In the previous module, we focused on artificial neural networks and deep learning. We saw that artificial neural networks and deep learning are a subfield of machine learning that includes techniques that enable machines to learn through deep artificial neural networks.

In this chapter, we will examine large language models (LLMs) and discover that the latest LLMs are based on an artificial neural network architecture.
