Data are measurements and recorded characteristics of objects and events from the real world. When analyzed, they can be transformed into information and knowledge, allowing us to better understand and explain the world around us.

Analyze the interactive graphic and decide which of the following statements you can make based on the visualization and which you cannot!

Data are measurements and recorded characteristics of objects and events from the real world.
A dataset is a collection of data that are related in some way. When solving a task, you can work either with external data (i.e., data collected for an external purpose) or with data that you have collected yourself. The latter are more difficult to collect but may be better suited to your task.
